About The Position, The Emergency Management Coordinator position exists to develop, coordinate, plan and implement emergency management - homeland security – public health activities to ensure preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation for potential emergencies or disasters in the City of Scottsdale. Under the direction of the Emergency Manager, the Emergency ManagementCoordinator may track, oversee, and coordinate the activities of internal and external teams and projects, assist in emergency planning, research, analysis, data-entry, calendar coordination, agenda development, and readiness for all City divisions and departments, and assist in developing and coordinating various, intergovernmental agreements, preparedness projects, special event planning and grant programs in coordination with local, county, state, federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private entities.
