I feel like either I am way to qualified or significantly under qualified. My endeavor at the moment is seeking employment that leads me with the financial ability to fund highly sought after certifications; CEM, cybersecurity and advanced FEMA certifications/courses.
I’m not looking to be rich, just more trained in the field I enjoy doing.
Focus on something you bring to the table that is better than others. I openly admit I am better in aspects of T&E than many yet on that same coin there are areas in T&E I struggle with, same applies to EM as a whole. Bring your value to the table regardless of how you grade yourself to others.
As far as certifications go, don't get them for a name sake. Focus on getting stuff that improves your knowledge and skills one step further. I found that when I really dug into my education the things I needed most were not EM specific but broader management and business skills.
